Antwerp Concours d'Elegance 2024
On Sunday 8 September, the prestigious Antwerp Concours d'Elegance took place for the 19th time at Belvédère Castle in Wijnegem. Marreyt Classic Cars was present with two special vehicles: the 1954 Alfa Romeo 1900SS Ghia Special in the ‘Postwar European Exotics 1948-1965’ category, and the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster in the ‘Happy Birthday 70 Years Mercedes 300SL’ category.
The 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster captured first prize in its class. We are all the more proud to announce that this car has recently undergone a thorough restoration in our specialised workshop. This rejuvenation treatment lasted more than 2 years and involved meticulous restoration of every component down to the smallest detail, completely to the original specifications.
This award is not only an honour for us, but also a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship we put into every project and work.

1957 Porsche 356A 1500 GS Carrera
The Porsche 356 needs no further introduction. It is a coveted classic on the (inter)national classic car market that can regularly be found in our showroom and/or workshop. However, it is all the more special when the is an exclusive ‘Fuhrmann engine’. A direct derivative from racing. A perfect combination between comfort and racing technology to discover Italy in a spectacular Mille Miglia.
1956 Lotus Eleven S1 - Le Mans
In 1956, this Lotus Eleven was delivered in the UK as one of 270 built. Weighing in at around 450 kilograms and with the nippy Coventry Climax engine, it proved to be the perfect car for racing. So attested from the great racing history present with the car. Are you writing on to the story of this little powerhouse? An excellent opportunity to take on the Mille Miglia with a real race car.
1950 Jaguar XK 120 OTS - Alloy
Initially, Jaguar intended to build a limited edition sports car to introduce their new XK engine. Only 242 examples of this primal aluminium XK were built before the construction of steelbodied cars began. This immaculate example was fully restored by Marreyt Classic Cars a few years ago and is now available from stock and ready to drive the Mille Miglia.
Zoute Grand Prix: The event of the autumn!
We are excited to announce that one of the biggest and most important Belgian events of the autumn is just around the corner: the Zoute Grand Prix. From 3 to 6 October 2024, Knokke-Heist will be the place to be for the biggest high-end car, art and lifestyle festival.
The highlight for us; The Zoute Rally by Stow. This has been the backbone of the Zoute Grand Prix for many years. During this three-day rally, we have provided technical support for our customers for many years. We look forward to meeting you along the way.
The end of the Belgian classics season is in sight.
After the Zoute Rally, the oldtimer and classic car season in Belgium is drawing to a close, then we can always look back on a wonderful season and look forward to what is to come.
Although the rides may be less frequent, the autumn and winter period is the perfect time to keep your classic vehicle in top condition and prepare it for the coming classic car season.
